Identifying Moles
Moles search your property for worms and grubs, their primary diet. You might think that they are similar to gophers because they can destroy your landscaped areas including flowerbeds, gardens, and bushes, but they are quite different. While gophers eat the roots of plants and bushes, moles cause damage by uplifting the soil while traveling around your property looking for food. The process of them traveling can uproot and kill flowers and bushes. After years of fine-tuning our mole control service we have perfected the art of effective mole removal. Our method by our experienced pest extermination technicians is guaranteed to take care of your problem fast, the first time!
Do I Have Gophers?
Gophers make mounds of dirt. They are typically found in areas that are exposed to sunlight all day, getting little to no moisture during the summer months. The mounds are usually crescent shaped with a pocket of dirt at the base of the mound.
Gophers can also be in lawns, flowerbeds, or gardens that border those areas. Gophers are gatherers. They like to store roots, bulbs, and vegetation. You may notice your plants falling over, bulbs disappearing, or plants starting to die for no apparent reason. This is because the gophers are eating the roots off of the plants causing significant damage.
Frequently Asked Questions
Moles make 3 types of activity, mounds of dirt, raised surface tunneling and small push ups in the soil that looks like a bulb is trying to sprout.
Gophers make mounds of dirt as well, usually crescent shaped with a pocket of dirt at the base of the mound.
Yes! Both mole and gopher traps are safe. The mole traps are compressed into the earth, even if tripped from above the trap can only grab the soil it is compressed into. Gopher traps are inserted into the tunnel, only the base of the trap is exposed and not dangerous to pets.
We check our traps on an average of time that is based on how they operate. Moles like to neighbor or trail each other, so after the initial mole is caught, if there is a trailing mole, it will show up within 3 days of the last mole caught. We check our traps on a bi weekly basis because of this.
Moles and gophers can be active all year round, in the right conditions.
We only use traps. They are the only 100% effective method.
Moles have their offspring in the spring and fall. Gophers can have their young anytime of the year, and can average 3-6 litters per year.
